Personal Budgeter Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Personal Budgeter keeps your budget on your iPhone. I don't collect any of it, and the app has no account, analytics, ads or tracking. "I" means the developer of Personal Budgeter.

What stays on your phone

The app saves these in its own storage on your device:

None of this is sent to me, and I have no way to see it.

Sync (optional)

Sync is off unless you set it up. It keeps the app in step with a web version of the budget that you run yourself, through a database in your own Cloudflare account, using an API token you create and enter.

Turning sync off removes the token, key and sync state from your phone. The encrypted copy stays in your Cloudflare account until you delete that database there.

Siri

If you log something with Siri, Apple processes your request as described in Apple's privacy policy. The app only receives the amount and category.

Exports, backups and deleting your data

Exports. If you export your budget as a file, it goes wherever you save or send it.

Backups. Your budget is saved like any other app data, so iCloud Backup or a computer backup may include it. The app also keeps a copy on your phone before it replaces or erases your budget, in case you need it back.

Crash reports. If you share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send me anonymous crash reports. They contain technical details, not your budget. You can turn this off under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting. Settings > Erase all data clears the budget. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone.

Children

The app isn't aimed at children under 13. It doesn't collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If the app ever starts handling data differently, I'll update this policy and the date at the top before that version is released.
